Google 1I scheduled an appointment five days out. I was told that I would receive a call around 9:30 am, when the technician was on there way. The day that they were supposed to arrive, I received a call from the dispatcher at 10:50, stating that the technician who was scheduled to perform my job, had called in sick. She asked if she could reschedule for the following day. I told her that I would be leaving in the afternoon and she reassured me that it would be first thing in the morning. The next day I called at 9:55, because I still did not hear from anyone. Madison told me that the technician was on another job and he would not arrive till 3-4 pm. I told her that, I was told, that I would be the first job in the morning. She told me that there was no notes in the ticket. I just canceled my appointment because they have serious communication issues. Therefore, I do not recommend Marks Overhead Door Service, they may make it, they may not.

Google 5These guys installed a garage door opener for me a few years back. Everything was great until the keypad went out recently. They were prompt to come replace the keypad for a fee. Couple weeks later the keypad reset itself or something and I reached out to them. They had a tech come out free of charge and fix it again that day. They are very quick.

Google 5I had already called a couple other places to quote replacing our old door. One of the springs broke and the other probably wasnt far behind. The price of springs and labor to fix old door wasn't much cheaper than just getting a new door. Even though I called some other places and already had a quote I felt was fair to replace our old 16 foot door a neighbor suggested I call Mark's. Glad he did. I was given a quote that was $300 cheaper than the other guys and Mark came out before hand personally to make sure the quote was accurate and wouldn't be any problems or any extras that could effect the price. Honestly was surprised by the price. For us to do buy a door and install ourselves would have been similarly priced. For us it was easy choice. Was almost like buying a door and having it installed for free and they hauled off all of the old door and parts and was very meticulous with install. 795 for a 16 foot door installed. We paid an extra 60 to get it expedited. Called Monday door installed Thursday. Mark's son personally drove to Kansas City to pick up door and bring back to Topeka to do install. The extra 60 I doubt covered the extra time and gas. Super appreciative and have no clue how they make any money at their prices and still did a great job. Was no hassle. Would recommend to anyone. Jeremy at the office did an amazing job of coordinating everything for a great experience. The other company I called no one knew what the others were doing. The office gave an install date and said had doors in stock. The technician said could be couple weeks out because have to order doors. The other company supposedly military friendly and veteran owned was going to charge this military family 300 more than Mark's did. Best price and didnt sacrifice quality of work. Would give more stars if could.

Google 2I don't like to write negative reviews, and Marks Overhead Door repaired the garage door and it works great. The employees were all friendly. The reason for the bad review is because the day the technician finished the job, he called me and said I owed $188 and asked how I was going to pay, I let him know they were mailing me an invoice. He said okay, no problem. A few days later I receive the invoice for $202. I called and asked why the cost difference, she said she wasn't sure, so I asked if she could look into it. She said she would, but I never received any communication back, except another invoice a few days later for $202. A few more days pass, and I receive a 3rd invoice for the same amount. I didn't see any due date on the invoice, but typically most businesses allow 30 days to get the check back. The job was performed September 9th, and I mailed the check October 4th, mostly because I was waiting for them to call me back with an update. The biggest issues is the price difference, $14 is not much, but why and how could there be a difference. I feel like I am in some sort of con. I understand mistakes happen, but I let them know what happened and they didn't care. If I had met the technician and paid the day he finished it would have been $188, but now I just mailed them a check for $202. Not only that, but receiving 3 invoices in 3 weeks is a little ridiculous. I have received their message loud and clear. Sadly, I can't recommend Marks Overhead Door for those reasons and won't use them again.
