Google 5ALWAYS Call Hamburg Door first, always! They will beat the price of the competition and do a fantastic job. I had spring issues and was unable to use the door. The job was completed in a short matter of time from whe. I called, and the garage door was usable in less than an hour of Ron showing up. Very happy with my experience from the phone call, to the work, and the price. 10 out of 10 will be recommending everyone to use them.

Yelp 5I came home late new years night and my garage door wouldn't open. I called the next day and they came right out and replaced the giant spring at the top. The tech also checked the overall condition and suggested replacing the rollers that were rusty and very squeaky while he was there. Fast efficient courteous. Great job and reasonable price.

BBB 1We recently had our door springs and cables replaced, and the installer did a great job. However, our appt was supposed to include taking a look at the photo sensors as well as replacing our bottom weather stripping. After the installer removed our old (functioning) weather stripping, he informed me that he did not bring the correct length - he brought 16 feet instead of 18 feet. He said that someone from the office would call and confirm me for the next day. I didn't receive any calls, and no one showed up the next day. I called the office and was told they needed payment auth because the price was different. Initially, I was quoted $3/foot + labor to replace the weather stripping. So, one would assume 16 x $3 = $48 and the labor during the repair appointment, since the weather stripping takes about 10 minutes to do. I assumed the price change would be due to the extra 2 feet, but no. I was told it was now $8/foot PLUS an additional $99 labor charge + tax, so around $300. I asked why the change? The employee explained our garage door is too old and needs an additional bracket for the weather stripping? What? I said I was frustrated because this all could have been avoided and my original weather stripping could have been left on the door, as it was still functioning, but the installer removed it and took it with him. So now, I have a gaping hole under my garage door and snow is starting to get inside. The office employee brushed off my concerns. I told him there's no way I'm paying $300 for weather stripping when I can go to Home Depot and grab some for literally $30. I told him I did not budget $300 for weather stripping, and had budgeted for the initial quote. He said he would "try and help me out" and would "give me a call back." It's been 3 business days and no return call, so I'm assuming they don't actually want to complete the job. They were sure to charge my card for the initial spring/cable repair, but never sent an invoice or receipt.

Google 5Two thumbs up to Hamburg Overhead Door for the job they did in replacing the two single overhead 50+ year old wooden doors on my detached two car garage with a single double-wide steel door. They called me to schedule installation on the day my new door arrived in their warehouse. Two days later Brett, the installer , arrived right on time. His work was outstanding: fastidious in all respects from removal of the old doors, tracks, and openers, to truing up and reinforcing the header over the door opening, installation of a new track and door, reinstallation of one of the existing door openers, trimming out the new door with aluminum, and a thorough cleanup.

Google 5Fantastic installation experience. Our installer, Jeremy, was an absolute professional and very helpful. Super knowledgeable and friendly. Assisted us with setting up our new garage door opener and disclosed to us some of the cool new features. Gave us some great preventative maintenance tips to help prolong the life of our new garage door and opener. Highly recommend Hamburg Overhead Door. Thank you Jeremy.

Google 5Brett and Dustin were outstanding and very accommodating when they installed our new door. They were on time, neat, and very fast. They made sure the door worked properly and took the time to add a lengthened pull strap (we do not have an automatic garage door opener -yet) for my convenience. I'm short and with the door in the full up position, I couldn't reach the pull strap. When we are ready for the install of the other door, I will be certain to request these two, they were wonderful to work with. Hamburg Overhead Door has provided us with all of the garage doors we have needed and they have been incredibly accommodating and flexible with a very challenging building schedule. I would not go anywhere else.

Installers are top of the line gentleman that we felt more than comfortable with at our home. Install craftsmanship and attention to detail was second to none! The best value for garage doors that you'll find.

Google 5We are extremely pleased with our overall experience with HOD. Our in store sales experience was informative and helpful with choosing the correct door for our needs. Thank you Jim K. for your patience, guidance and customer service. Our install was scheduled to meet our needs and our technician Andrew was extremely impressive. He was courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, detailed, and willing to answer all of our questions. He leveled everything and cleaned the door after the install, as well as his work area. He educated us on every aspect of the door install and was patient as he explained the operation of the new opener. He adjusted our camera and stayed with us until we were comfortable with the app to operate it. He is "5 star" in customer service. We are impressed and grateful for our entire positive experience with Hamburg Overhead Door. We would definitely recommend this business. Very impressive.

Google 5I'm now enjoying the latest technology in home garage doors! My install was so swift and easy and took way less time then I estimated. Love our new video key pad I can see folks driving in and love my automatic door openers!!! Winter is coming folks and we are ready thanks to Hamburg Overhead Door!

Google 5Andrew the installer from Hamburg Door was amazing. Professional, courteous, very knowledgeable, and clean. Best part for me was he used a pocket level on everything when installing the doors. His installation of the wiring and angle iron was immaculate. Hamburg Door should be proud to have this young man representing their company. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. Doors and openers look great. Yelp 5Garage door would not work. I called and receptionist said he could look for a serviceman to help. I had called for service the day before the 4th of July. I expected someone to come over until after holiday. But a worker arrived in an hour and a half! He was nice, professional and friendly. Fixed problem within 20 minutes. Did not need to buy motor, etc. So thankful for all involved! 5 *****!

Yelp 1Rating should be ZERO Happy to post this VERY NEGATIVE review as follows: Yesterday, I arranged and confirmed appointment for garage door repair today between 1-5pm on this sunny Friday afternoon. I stressed I would be home all day. Finding 2 silenced cellphone calls with no messages and no answer on callback, I called company headquarters directly to find out installer left note nobody home. I was home ALL DAY. So, I spent my entire, Buffalo Summer, sunny Friday waiting to get my garage door operating only to be told without an apology: " We can come Monday". Really, all weekend without using my garage. This is crap. Hope installer enjoys early quit today. I am calling competitor and never again using this sham operation!!! Bob K

Yelp 4Reached out to them for a price on a standard garage door. Their price beat the competition Precision by $1000, It pays to shop around. Initially, dealt with Jim, he gave a quote over the phone and then in person we were given the same price. I did have to reach out to them several days after the tech came out, to make the installation appointment. Based on speaking with other people, my guess would be this is their "busy season". None the less it was a good experience.

Yelp 5Our garage door was broken and we called at 4:30 in the afternoon. They came out the next morning at 8, it was fixed in less than an hour. Ron was very professional and certainly knew his work. We highly recommend Hamburg Overhead Door.

Yelp 1Talked at Erie County and set up a date to come to my house. The following week I recieved a call to verify. Day comes, but overhead door does not. Called them person I spoke with is clueless. After 5 min on hold he comes back and tells me they sent an e-mail. Check no e-mail at all. I again mention phone verification. 10 more minutes on hold, comes back with no answers and wants to give me sales persons phone number. I ask no one coming today? He says doesn't look like it. I had rearranged things to be here. Well you blew 5k in garage doors. And while you were here I wanted to have you quote 2 more doors for my barn. Never will darken your door again

Their service, quality, professionalism and reliability are top notch. They are great at what they do. Their garage door systems are excellent. Would highly recommend. Yelp 1I placed my order with Hamburg OH Drs. in June 2021 and gave the salesman a check for half down. Was told it would be approx. 9 -12 weeks before the door would be in. After 12 weeks I called their office and gave them my order no. I was told that they couldn't give me any info and that I would have to contact my salesman. I subsequently contacted the salesman and eventually found out that my check had been lost and my order just put aside. No attempt was made to contact me and no order was placed. I was told that I would now have to wait until at least the end of Jan. 2022, but since they lost my check I could pay the full balance after install. I contacted the office to ask them to expedite the order since someone on their end had been the cause of this entire incident. They refused. These are the rudest folks that you could ever deal with. I was told it was not their fault since the check probably got lost in the mail. When I explained that I handed the check to their salesman and he gave me a copy for my records there was no response. To date (2/6/22) I have never heard back from anyone at this company. The only reason I gave them one star is because there were no negative numbered stars! Customer service is certainly something these folks should take a course in! My actual rating should be a negative 5. Buyers beware.

Yelp 5Responsive, professional, communicative service plus efficient, skilled technicians. Our garage door opener burned out and the first call was to assess things. The technician remembered us and said yes, this was going to need replacing down the road. That was five years ago maybe? The replacement was scheduled between Christmas and New Year's, which we were not expecting but happy about. I mean it's a luxury to have a garage to park in - especially when the door operates! The job was completed this morning with a reminder call the day before and a "be there soon" text today. The installation was completed, car programmed and all aspects of usage explained. The friendly tech was masked (as were we) for a rundown of the new device. It was convenient that since our card was on file we didn't need to exchange paperwork. There was nothing that needed improvement in the transaction or experience.

Yelp 5When I contacted HOD, they scheduled a tech the same day! I was shocked but very pleased. It was with the understanding that the tech would arrive if possible. As time progressed, I called HOD and the dispatcher reached out to the tech and he returned the call. He explained I am still on the schedule, but he would be very late = possibly 6 PM or later. I told him it's OK to reschedule. This morning the tech called before arriving (as asked). He arrived, quickly assessed the situation, repaired the spring, explaining the details along the process. BY FAR the best experience I've had with any service-based company. A 5 star review for Hamburg Overhead Door.

Angi 1Not so good, they only do this 9-5 week days. do they not think you work? told to just give them the code for the door. Really, My door is not even 2 years old and the wheels on the bottom panels came off. Called them they came out next day to fix. Told I have a bad wheel, which they did fix. Only problem was he was at my home for 15 minutes and it now is costing me 125.00 dollars. I do not have the broken part and what a rip off for a 15 minute service call. I will not use them again or tell friends to use them either. Services Rendered: door off of the rails

Angi 5perfect - the estimate was spot on and the workmanship was great. The technician was pleasant and explained everything. Services Rendered: Not sure how to explain, but the door would not go up and down, there was a major malfunction with the brace that the door goes on, they replaced it and it works better now than it ever did.

Angi 5It went really well. The service was really good and the guy was professional. He came out and gave us some good advice. I know we were looking around at prices and it was a good price. I don't remember the exact price, I just remember it was better than others. We only had to call them once, but he came out pretty quick. He was on time. He was very professional. We kept his paperwork just in case. He was friendly and gave us some good free advice; he wasn't trying to upsell us. Services Rendered: Our garage door would not open so they had to install little wheels and change the motor on our garage door opener.

Yelp 5Responsive, professional, communicative service plus efficient, skilled technicians. Our garage door opener burned out and the first call was to assess things. The technician remembered us and said yes, this was going to need replacing down the road. That was five years ago maybe? The replacement was scheduled between Christmas and New Year's, which we were not expecting but happy about. I mean it's a luxury to have a garage to park in - especially when the door operates! The job was completed this morning with a reminder call the day before and a "be there soon" text today. The installation was completed, car programmed and all aspects of usage explained. The friendly tech was masked (as were we) for a rundown of the new device. It was convenient that since our card was on file we didn't need to exchange paperwork. There was nothing that needed improvement in the transaction or experience.

Yelp 5When I contacted HOD, they scheduled a tech the same day! I was shocked but very pleased. It was with the understanding that the tech would arrive if possible. As time progressed, I called HOD and the dispatcher reached out to the tech and he returned the call. He explained I am still on the schedule, but he would be very late = possibly 6 PM or later. I told him it's OK to reschedule. This morning the tech called before arriving (as asked). He arrived, quickly assessed the situation, repaired the spring, explaining the details along the process. BY FAR the best experience I've had with any service-based company. A 5 star review for Hamburg Overhead Door.
